One of the reasons for low back pain is we don’t train our bodies in the correct way. Sucking the stomach in causes muscles in the back to be too tight. Instead, fill up the belly with pressure because it stabilizes the back. Nicola is the spine in the demonstration and Dr. K is the stomach with Dr. Hadeen as the back muscles. In this demonstration, when there is no pressure in the stomach, there is no stability when the body moves. The spine becomes irritated and starts to ache, which can become arthritic or bring pain down the leg. It’s important to practice correct breathing from the belly using the entire diaphragm.
