Dr. Robert Hedeen attended Northwestern Health Sciences University where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic and Physical Medicine. He completed extensive coursework in all sciences, but his curriculum was rich in human anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, kinesiology, and neurology.
After completing his doctorate, Dr. Hedeen was accepted to an internship program with a Sports Rehabilitation health center that specialized in human biomechanics and movement medicine. Much of his drive stems from working with athletes during his internship, he has found using those skills can be extremely effective in the population that suffers from acute and chronic pain.
Utilizing his experience in athletic rehabilitation and evidence-based treatment protocols he has created a solid background of patient-specific care utilizing the most progressive and advanced therapy modalities.
On a personal note, Dr. Hedeen embraces a special passion for working with cheerleaders and gymnasts. His cheerleading and gymnast background includes 15 years of collegiate-level competition at the University of Minnesota while also coaching All-Star club teams in the greater Minneapolis area. Dr. Hedeen plans to use his knowledge in advanced sports biomechanics to develop a program for competitive cheerleaders and gymnasts to perform at a higher level while preventing injuries.
