Meet the Team

Dr. Cameron Khavari, D.C., M.U.A.C.

Dr. Cameron Khavari uses his education and experience to help patients achieve optimal health and to recover from pain related syndromes.  This includes, among other ailments, sciatica, spinal pain in any region, tingling and numbness of the arms or legs, migraines, plantar fascitis, shoulder and hip pain.  Dr. Khavari has studied under orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, biomechanic specialists and pediatric neurologists from all over the world.  His experiences in the arena of physical medicine make him uniquely suited to effectively treat a wide range of symptoms.

Dr. Khavari has been treating chronic and acute neuromusculoskeletal problems for years and has taken over 500 hours of post-graduate and continuing education training. His commitment to thinking broadly about health, fitness and optimum functionality translates into quality care and long-lasting results for patients of all ages, from newborn to geriatric.    

Over the years, Dr. Khavari has worked extensively with patients diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and has developed unique strategies to help them. His practice and high level of care has allowed him to work alongside the top neurologists in the Phoenix area to help patients suffering from gait related issues and pain that is a product of this demyelinating disease.

Dr. Robert Hedeen, D.C.

Dr. Robert Hedeen attended Northwestern Health Sciences University where he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic and Physical Medicine. Dr. Hedeen completed extensive coursework in all sciences but his curriculum was rich in human anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, kinesiology, and neurology. After completing his doctorate degree, Dr. Hedeen was accepted to an internship program with a Sports Rehabilitation health center that specialized in human biomechanics and movement medicine.

Much of his drive stems from working with athletes during his internship, he has found using those skills can be extremely effective in the population that suffers from acute and chronic pain.
Utilizing his experience in athletic rehabilitation and evidence based treatment protocols he has created a solid background of patient-specific care utilizing the most progressive and advanced therapy modalities.

On a personal note, Dr. Hedeen embraces a special passion for working with cheerleaders and gymnasts. His cheerleading and gymnast background includes 15 years of collegiate level competition at the University of Minnesota while also coaching All-Star club teams in the greater Minneapolis area. Dr. Hedeen plans to use his knowledge in advanced sports biomechanics to develop a program for competitive cheerleaders and gymnasts to perform at a higher level while preventing injuries.

Kimberly Richardson

Kimberly Richardson is a Mastery Level Fitness Specialist in Chandler, AZ. She is a Polestar Pilates Studio Professional, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist and Precision Nutrition Coach. She embraces over 20 years of professional experience in the movement and wellness industry and feels that the ability to express oneself through pain-free movement enhances ones quality of life.
Kimberly began her career in Venice Beach, Ca at Golds Gym where she met her Olympic Weightlifting coach Jerzy Gregorek, Shiatsu teacher Dr. Kaneko and became a practitioner of Hellerwork Structural Integration and Point Holding Therapy for Trauma. She then moved to Mt. Shasta Ca. to study meditation at a Zen Buddhist Monastery and opened her first fully equipped Pilates Studio in 2007. In 2010, Kimberly was elected, by her teacher Sherri Betz, as a Polestar Pilates mentor. 
In 2013, she joined faculty in the Recreation and Physical Education Department at Duke University in Durham, NC where she taught a .5 credit Pilates Mat course and led group classes in Yoga and TRX. In 2014 she completed a successful season at Ocean Reef Private Resort in Key Largo, Fl. as their Pilates Pro and Trainer.
Kimberly is passionate about self-awareness and transformation and she motivates people towards feeling their best through a positive movement experience, based on progressive program design that delivers proven results.

Katrina Briddle, Office Manager

Katrina is the business and financial coordinator for Functional Biomechanics. She has extensive work and management experience at such companies as Met Life, Proguard and EAG.   Her past work experience has given her the tools to oversee efficient, professional office operations and team growth, development and alignment.

Katrina has attended over 75 hours of continuing education in business management, biomechanics, nutrition and pedorthic studies. Since joining the team in 2012, her passion and commitment to physical medicine has strengthened Functional Biomechanics’ ability to serve and support its patients.
